Start Times : Sprint 7am / Ultra 7:20am
Distances : Sprint 600m swim / 22.5km Cycle / 5km Run
: ULTRA 1.9km Swim / 90 Km Cycle / 21km run
Race Briefing : 6:45am for all competitors (Compulsory)
Wetsuits : A decision on wetsuits will be taken at 6am on race day, as per TSA rule
Tri bars : are allowed for both events
Drafting : NO Drafting will be allowed in both the Sprint & Ultra event.
: Strict rules apply.
Timing : Timing will be done by Elite Timing.
: Timing Chips and Race numbers MUST be worn and will be given to athletes at Registration.
Cut-off Times : Swim 1hr
: Swim & Bike 5hrs 10min (12:30pm)
: Swim, Bike & Run 7hrs 40min (3pm)
Swim Caps : Competitors to use their own Yellow swimming caps unless race Swim caps are given at registration.
Transition Area : The Transition Area will open at 5:30am by the TSA Officials. Your bike, helmet and swim cap will be checked when you enter the transition area.
: You will not be allowed to exit the Transition Area with your bike until after the last competitor has finished.
: The Transition Area will close and everyone must exit at 6:50am for race briefing
Transition Bags
& Equipment
: Competitors must remove all transition bags from the Transition area before 6:55am. Any bags left behind will be removed by the Officials.
: The Officials and Organisers will in no way be responsible for lost or stolen items.
: There will be a cooler box inside the transition area for Competitors to put their OWN Bottles into. Bottles must be clearly marked and are left at owners risk.

Cars &
Supporters
: NO support or spectator cars will be allowed on the R103 / Midmar Road due to the Athletes safety.
: Anyone found driving on the route will result in their athlete being disqualified.
: The Sprint and Ultra Route is spectator friendly and family and friends are encouraged to watch the competitors from the entrance gates of Midmar Dam (5min walk from the start).
: There will be a water point here, where competitors will be allowed to hand over special requirements and bottles
Run Laps: : Sprint Race 1 Lap / Ultra Race 2 Laps (all on tar roads)
Ultra Athletes : will need to collect a coloured band at far water table
(inside Midmar Dam)
TSA Day Licence : If you don't have your TSA Licence with you on the day, it is compulsory to pay for a day Licence
: Ultra = R70.00
: Sprint = R70.00
Drug Free Sport : Athlete Medication
Athletes must apply for Therapeutic Use Exemption (TUE) if they are using a prohibited substance for legitimate, medically justified reasons to avoid any embarrassment for the athlete or TSA. Any athlete with a documented, legitimate medical condition may apply for TUE.
Drug Free Sport will be conducting tests on a regular basis at TSA events. All information is available on www.drugfreesport.org.za

Minimum Age : Ultra = 18 years
: Sprint = 15 years
Gate Entry Fees : Unfortunately due to control measures by the KZN Wildlife auditors, Gate entry fees cannot be paid for by the organisers prior to athletes entering the venue. Each entrant will therefore be responsible for paying for their own gate entry fee of R15 pp.

& Transfer Policy
: NO Refunds, race date transfers or person to person transfers will be allowed under any circumstance to any athletes.
: Once entered your entry if final.

Prize Money : There will be R35 000 in prize money to be won
Prize Giving 2.30pm : ALL Winners will need to be present at prize giving.
: All lucky draw winners will need to be present to collect their prize on the day.
